The elementary school Obervorschütz organises a "Green Footprints Week" at the beginning of the school year. This year it was especially successful:

Most of the children came without the "parent taxi" to school, the roadside were car-free - but a lot of children searches for parking space for their bikes and scooters.

Children that have a long school way just drove by car to the outskirts and walked from there to school.

Every child was awared with a certificate, a blinking pendants and VCD balloons.

We want to thank the parents for their daily and understanding support!"

The principal wrote us:

As we participated for several years and the children and parents know the activity week and are very engaged. We determine the winning class and hand out certificates, that is a great motivation for the children!

We received the following report from the Lessingschule:

The 5th and 6th grades from the Lessing-Gymnasium together with elementary schools and kindergartens participated for the second time in the ZOOM campaign. The campaign aims to show the climate problem and to animate pupils to live sustainably. Because everyone can contribute to act responsible concerning the environment and climate protection!

During the activity week, the pupils agreed on coming to school in an ecofriendly way. So the pupils take the bus, train or bike or come to school by foot. For every ecofriendly way they get a "green footprint".

This year, the children collected 9030 Green Footprints. Together with all Footprints from elementary schools, kindergartens and private persons, the city of Lampertheim collected over 23000 Green Footprints!
