Make your own glue and tinker materials
Tinking and painting are main elements of the daily routine in kindergartens and elementary schools. The help to train the children's dexterity and skills, they learn to be creative and develop a feeling for different materials.
It is possible to show children that there are more materials needed than they can buy in a normal crafts store. The children now that you can cook delicate meals out of potatoes, but do not know that they provide a great glue.
Even play dough, paints and brushes can be made without effort but with great effect. You can also make your own coloured paper with a little perparatory work.
