Jan Amos Komenski

350 pupils from school “Jan Amos Komenski” were doing an activity week with the theme "Keep walking for fresh air" from 23.09.2012 – 30.09.2013.
They collect 3731 green footprints and organized several different activities:

Pupils from 1st, 2nd grade were drawing and coloring pictures, that were published on the school message board.
Pupils from 3rd grade wrote eco- messages and songs, 5th grades worked on the sheets "Detective on the Road!" and  painted Green Footprints on the school yard.
6th graders provided posters with the results of the actity week and made leaflets given to parents who bring their children by car to alarm them that coming by car is no air-friendly behaviour.

On an Eco Parade around the school they used their flags with Green Footprints and further eco-messages to show the community that waking to school is IN and coming with cars is OUT.

The coordinating teacher from there wrote us:

"Everybody enjoyed the activity week and took an active participation."
I also would like to inform you that our community “Karpos” together with the NGO “Eco Logic”, motivated by our last yearactivities  started an eco-program on eco-classes in every school in our municipality, by offering them two Workshops: one aims to educate pupils on how to save energy and the other wants to motivate them on using sustainable means of transport, mainly bikes.
Our vision is that every pupil walks to school or goes by bike.
The program includes parents and employees of the school.
We expect that with this eco education through eco classes this eco behavior will “infect” all citizens in our community."
