Hannover

Classes 3a, 3b and 4a from primary school „Grundschule am Goetheplatz“ participated this year.

Besides 644 green footprints they also sent us great wish feet, some even in English and Spanish – thank you for that!

Isernhagen

Of course, the primary school Altwarmbüchen participated again. In June, their annual mobility week took place.

The children were highly motivated and collected 3.637 green footprints.

Many children tinkered feet on which they wrote down their wishes for the future.
On the school’s homepage you can see what the children did also in this week.

The primary school’s coordinator wrote us:
It is really interesting to notice that the children are able go to school by foot during this week. Unfortunately, this often only lasts for two weeks and after that everything is back to normal. I.e. car traffic in front of the school…

Saterland

The children of school „Marienschule Strücklingen” have been participating ever since and collected 1,416 green footprints this year. These are even more than in the previous year.

Wallenhorst

During a campaign week with the motto “climate protection”, the children from the school St. Bernhard in the Wallenhorst district of Rulle collected 3,236 green footprints.

Now they handed over these footprints symbolically to the mayor of Wallenhorst Otto Steinkamp and climate protection manager Stefan Sprenger. For the tenth time already, the primary school pupils participated in the worldwide campaign.
For seven days, they covered as many ways as possible in an environmentally-friendly way – by foot, by bike, by scooter, following the motto “Kids on the Move”.

As Martina Meier explained, it is about to raise the awareness of how to go to school in an environmentally-friendly way. During the campaign, the children can collect points on their own and are also allowed to tell “mama that she should better go by bike”, as the principal of the school said. “I think this campaign is a great thing”, said mayor Otto Steinkamp. “I really like it that such young pupils are on the move in an environmentally-friendly way.”
