Vöhringen-Illerzell
For years, the Kneipp-Kindergarten Pusteblume has been participating in the Green Footprint Campaign
They are themed: Not go by car but walk and ride the bike. The idea is to renounce the car, parents are either using public transport and bring their children to the day-care center or let them go by scooter or bike.
Unfortunately, Illerzell is not benefited by public transport. Due to that, the parents came up with some ideas if the car has to be used, nevertheless.
“We also have children from Vöhringen coming to our day-care center and even one child comes from Illerrieden”, says the director of the center, Beatrix Schrode. These parents have parked their cars at the edges of the town Illerzell and have walked to the day-care center Pusteblume. “Or”, as told by Beatrix Schrode, „they have taken the scooter or bike out of the trunk and the children went the last part of the way by muscular power.
This year, from 23th June to 4th July 2014, two groups with 25 children each collected 396 Green Footprints.
