Allensbach


Again, the kindergarten, primary and secondary school of Allensbach participated in the green footprint action of Climate Alliance. For the eighth time in a row they collected green footprints by walking, eating regional products and saving energy. In four institutions 229 children collected 2,722 green footprints and over the year, 12 children collected additional 2,856 green footprints, as the walked to school daily.

The coordinator wrote:
“I really liked the idea of the child care workers of the daycare center St. Nikolaus. They designed a chutes and ladders game with the green footprints which contains different action fields in the area of “environment” and that the children could take home.”

However, she also wrote that, according to her, every year it gets tougher collecting the green footprints. In one of the kindergarten regularly only one child goes to kindergarten without car.


She wrote:
“The parents take their children by care, because they have to drive to work immediately after that. That is keeping up with the times, when more and more parents (have to) go to work.”




Backnang

 

75 children of the municipal day-care center Bertha-von-Suttner-Weg collected 451 miles during their “Green Footprints Week”. 



Blaustein

 

152 pupils of the primary school Ludwig-Uhland Grundschule Ehrenstein handed over 2,682, the 54 pupils of the primary school Wippingen handed over 550 green footprints to Mayor Thomas Kayser.

A press article said:
“Today I play the role of a mail man”, said Kayser, when receiving the certificates for which the pupils from the primary school Wippingen had made a suitcase. As they will not remain in the town hall but will be handed over to Peru where they will be handed over, together with footprints of other children from different countries, at the UN Climate Change Conference in December.

“We children want to change something together”, said a pupil in Ehrenstein. Especially the pupils of the 4th grade worked closely with environmental topics and reported some results by rhyming, for example about forest protection.

 


For schoolmaster Ulrike Manz-Ben MNa the Kids on the Move action has got another aspect: “It becomes rife that parents drive their children to the school door. We also want to antagonize that.”
Together with the parents council they have already started the initiative “Walking Bus”. 



























Ettenheim

 

The children of primary school Münchweier are happy to send 2,242 green footprints to the UN Climate Conference in Lima.

 

Their teacher writes:
      “Over different periods of time, the pupils have collected conscientiously green

      footprints and designed footprints with wishes.”












Heidelberg

 

Also in Heidelberg, during the walking to school month, schools additionally participated in the green footprints campaign!
The Albert-Schweizer School Heidelberg collected 845, the IGH Heidelberg 567 green footprints.



Ludwigsburg

  

All classes at the August-Lämmle-Schule collected again for 3 weeks! This way they collected: 8502 Green Footprints.
