Luxembourg

This year, the starting shot was fired for the ZOOM campaign in Luxembourg: the campaign began in Hesperingen on 9 April 2019.

 

A total of 3,559 children from 40 municipalities are taking part in the campaign, the Green Footprints counter scored 58,886 Footprints! Institutions from the following municipalities are involved:  

 

Beaufort, Betzdorf, Biwer, Capellen, Colmar-Berg, Contern, Differdange, Echternach, Erpeldange/Sûre, Esch-Alzette, Esch-Sur-Sûre, Hesperange, Junglinster, Kayl, Koerich, Larochette, Leudelange, Luxembourg, Schifflange, Steinfort, Steinsel, Strassen, Waldbillig, Weiler-la-Tour, Wincrange



Bettembourg

 

Pupils also took part in the ZOOM campagne at the Reebou-Schoul. They collected a total of 713 climate-friendly Footprints, which are already on their way to the UN Climate Conference. 




Capellen

 

In the Crèche Kannerstuff kindergarten, the "kids on the move" have collected 14 climate-friendly miles! 



Colmar Berg 

 

233 children from Colmar-Berg contributed to this year's campaign and achieved an amazin result: 1,577 Green Footprints!



Contern

 

At the Maison Relais Conter school, the children paid attention to climate-friendly mobility and collected Green Footprints diligently. In total, they were able to earn 176 Green Miles - congratulations! 



Differdange

 

At Um Bock School, the children from the various classes collected miles diligently and paid attention to climate-friendly alternatives. With their collected 4,344 Green Footprints they could come to Station 10: Arctic of our Climate Voyage in a climate-friendly way and see the melting glacier with their own eyes. An impressive distance! 



Dudelange

 

One Green Mile, Two Green Miles... no less than 2,000 Green Miles have been collected by the children of the Brill School in Dudelange and have set an example for a better climate! 



Echternach

 

The children in the Hämelmais kindergarten also took part in the ZOOM campaign. For one week they collected Green Footprints on their way to school. Congratulations on 177 Footprints collected!



Erpeldange/Sûre

 

123 Green Footprints were collected by the 15 children of the Crêche am Butzenascht in Erpeldange/Sûre this year.

 

At the Ierpeldeng school centre, too, small climate protectors collected Green Footprints and were thus active for the climate. Altogether, the pupils from the 14 classes collected 2,435 climate-friendly Footprints!



Esch-Alzette

 

In the Escher Kindervilla facility, the children have collected Green, Red and Blue Footprints. The first campaign's greetings have already arrived - they managed to collect 228 Footprints. Congratulation!

 

In the Coccinella foyer the children were also active for the climate. They were able to reach a total of 464 Green Footprints. These Footprints are now on their way to the climate conference in Madrid - we are happy about this contribution! 




Esch-sur-Sûr

 

At Maison Relais Kannerstuff Heischent, children aged between 4 and 12 took part in the ZOOM campaign. Active for the climate, getting to know sustainable alternatives and integrating them into everyday life - a strong result with 10,987 climate-friendly Footprints!

Converted into kilometers, they could thus travel to Kenya and see Station 5: "Healing rain, but when?" of our climate voyage



Hesperange

 

In the kindergarten Jangeli there were also "kids on the move". Every day they made sure that they did not produce any CO2 on their way to the kindergarten and back home. In total they collected 450 Green Footprints!

 

In addition, the children in the Maison relais Hesper Heesprénger made the start this year and were thus the first "kids on the  move". On April 9th, the Footprints handover took place in a good mood despite the rain.
Congratulations on the 239 climate-friendly Footprints that will soon arrive in Madrid! 






Koerich

 

Seven classes at the Käerch Primary School in Koerich have collected Green Footprints! During the project week, the pupils paid attention to climate-friendly mobility and made small changes in everyday life on their way to school. Small climate-friendly steps that have a big impact overall: the children were able to collect 1,994 Green Footprints - congratulations! 



Leudelange

 

4 classes from the EF Leudelange participated in the campaign this year and collected 121, 109, 100 and 51 Green Footprints each.



Luxemburg

 

In the Luxembourg neighborhood of Kirchberg, 72 children collected a wonderful 753 Footprints. Congratulations!



The Gaston Diderich school in Luxembourg has also been busy collecting Red, Blue and above all Green Footprints. In total, they have collected 3,336 climate-friendly Footprints. Visible to all, they made colourful footprints on a large poster which presented their results as well. Congratulations on this great performance! 



 

In the Hollerich district of Luxembourg, children have also collected Green Footprints. The pupils were motivated to collect their stickers for climate-friendly behaviour and the result is impressive: 230 Green Footprints!  

 

Additionally the children from Beggen collected 260 Green Footprints, from Bonnvoie - Verger 6,102 Green Footprints, from the kindergarten Demy Schlechter 468 Green Footprints.


In total, the children from the city of Luxembourg collected 11,149 climate-friendly Footprints. A great result and an important contribution to the overall result! 



Schifflange

 

From Schifflange, the children at the Albert Wingert school took part in the ZOOM campaign. The almost 500 pupils have collected a total of 16,682 climate-friendly Footprints, which means that our Footprint Counter has to count a lot longer - a great job! 



Steinfort

 

70 children from the Primaire School in Steinfort participated in this year's ZOOM campagne. The four classes were determined and able to collect a total of 4,255 climate-friendly Footprints - an impressive result! Congratulations! 



Strassen

 

The Ecole Ben Heyart in Strassen participated as well this year: 30 children managed to collect 134 Green Footprints for Santiago!









Waldbillig

 

In Waldbillig, the children from the 6th grade of the Michel Rodange School and from the kindergarten Spielschoul took part in the ZOOM campaign.
They were also traffic detectives during this time and wrote down various problems and suggestions for improvement in road traffic using our additional material.


"Pedestrian lanes are not illuminated enough", which can easily be improved by different lighting systems. "Cars come in too fast from the Müllerthal in Christnach", which is to be improved by a radar control. "No bicycle path between Christnach and Waldbillig", which makes it much more difficult to go to school by bike. Great ideas and suggestions for changes!


The four 6th classes collected a total of 487 Green Footprints, 2 Red Footprints and 4 Blue Footprints. The kindergarten children collected an additional 110 climate-friendly Footprints.


Adding up all the Footprints they can make a climate-friendly trip to Amsterdam and have a look at the floating settlements of the Climate Voyage
