Schleswig-Holstein

Bad Segeberg

For the first time, pupils from the municipal facilities Kita "Kindergarden" Christianfelde, Mühlen-KiTa and das Krippenhaus "Crib House' collected Green Footprints. The special covid-19 situation did not let the employees and children get down.

Especially for this time its very important not to forget problems, such as climate change.

A total of 369 green, 30 orange and 27 blue miles were collected. Excellent!

Börnsen

This year again, the Dalbek school from Börnsen collected footprints. After last year's Kid's on the Move participation, a lot of classes worked about the subjects climate and plastic. This can be clearly seen from the pupils wishes and suggestions.

On green paper footprints, the children wrote down what are their wishes to protect the climate. Among them was the demand that rainforest should be preserve. Also Important is saving plastic trash, claims another student. With more garbage cans it is possible to keep the envorenment clean, says two children. One pupil whishes more waste prevention in general. To set a good example, this student and classmates collected trash in the schoolyard. With so much ideas and enthusiam, the pupils from Dalbek school Börnsen make a important contribution to climate protection.

All in all, 10 classes with over 200 children have participated and collected 3340 footprints. A fantastic result!

Bredenbek

Especially for schools, the corona crisis is very challenging. Nevertheless, the elementary school in Bredenbek was very motivated to carry out the climate week, this year accompanied by two speakers who carried out the so-called "climate breakfast" with the classes. Information and a report about the event can be found below on the school website under the keyword "Climate Week 2020".

The number of miles was also impressive: a remarkable 1452 miles were announced in the schoolyard!
In addition, the children again diligently cut out feet and wrote on them.

The school administration wrote to us:

"Perseverance is the order of the day, and yet do not lose sight of the important things, the earth needs us right now, as we do"

Neumünster

In the time from 14.09. to 02.10.20 45 classes from 7 schools participated in the campaign and collected 1,1032 miles, whereby this time there was only one stamp for the way. Thus, a magnificent result !

"We hope that you will be able to publicly present the collected children's miles in a press-effective way despite the postponed climate conference. Climate protection is a real concern for the children!"

Stormarn (district)

This year again, the campaign " to school by foot" was carried out in Schleswig-Holstein before the autumn vacations, which is not only in the Stormarn district gladly connected with the ZOOM campaign.

It is unclear whether all actions were reported back to us, but it is certain that in the Stormarn district 1,925 students from 84 classes at 8 schools collectively collected 24,044 climate miles.
Thanks to the elementary school Wöhrendamm in Großhansdorf, the elementary school Klosterbergen and Mühlenredder in Reinbek, the elementary school in Tangstedt, the Helmut-Land elementary school in Oststeinbek, the Klaus-Groth school in Bad Oldesloe, the Stapelfeld elementary school and the elementary school Mollhagen in Steinburg - a great result!
