Bad Homburg

Once again this year, Dornholzhausen Elementary School participated in the "ZOOM Kids on the move" campaign. Despite the postponement of the climate conference in Glasgow, the children collected diligently from September 21-25. At the same time, they also participated in the "Walk to School Week". In the end, the little climate protectors collected 2234 green miles. The second classes were also out and about in the forest and made some great mandalas. (See photos)

Darmstadt

The Bessunger Schule has again collected climate miles this year. As part of the "Walk to School" campaign, the topic of climate protection was examined from several angles in the individual classes.

Whether by tram, bike, on foot or by car, as you can see in the pictures of the children, also every child from Darmstadt uses a different means of transport to get in to school.

Friedrichsdorf

The 350 children of the Hardtwaldschule Seulberg from Friedrichsdorf were again hard at work, as they are every year, and ran a total of 4,467 miles from 14.09. - 20.09.2020. For the school, this was the 19th running action week with the green miles since 2002, during which the school was able to steadily increase the miles run.

Fulda

The almost 60 children of the Antonius von Padua School participated for the first time in 2020 and collected 644 miles with 4 classes - thank you very much for your efforts!

Heppenheim

In total there are 1370 climate miles from the Eichendorff School

Class 1a: 226 miles
Class 2a: 156 miles
Class 3a: 572 miles
Class 4a: 85 miles
Class 4b: 331 miles

"Due to Corona, many children were absent this year. But it was important for us to carry out the action in September."

Mühltal

The 129 children of the Traisa school in Mühltal collected a total of 2274 green miles. Class 4a added 63 blue and 50 red miles.

In addition to making wish-feet for the climate politicians, they wrote to us about what they would like to do differently in the future and summarized in a short report which topics they dealt with. There it says:

"In the sewage treatment plant, the children had to learn that many citizens of Mühltal inconsiderately dispose of objects in the toilet that do not belong there at all. Little environmentalists are therefore needed everywhere.
The children also thought about saving water, saving electricity and, repeatedly, avoiding waste, and wrote many environmental protection ideas on their paper feet to our politicians, e.g. "Politicians, please save the world! That's what I want so much." Or "Dear politicians, plant more trees and use less electricity."
So much for the contribution of the "little ones", now it's the turn of the "big ones"!!!"

Offenbach

In Offenbach, four elementary schools with a total of 75 classes and 1576 children took part in 2020 and collected 15,967 miles.

In many cases, the message 'less is more' is written on their green wish feet. The children also call for the protection of rainforests.

Roßdorf

Also in the Gundernhäuser School in Roßdorf many Green Miles were collected this year.

Together, the children of the 10 classes collected 2514 miles and had a lot of fun during the campaign.

The School and Health Officer writes:

"All children of our school want to continue to be active and do something for the world climate."
