North Macedonia

2022 there were Зелени Стапалчиња (Green Footprints) from two schools in North Macedonia.

Skopje

This year, the fifth grade classes of the Jan Amos Komenski School in Karpos were involved.

For their climate action week, they created their own posters to document their environmentally friendly journeys to and from school with little foot, scooter and bicycle symbols.

Throughout the week, they also held art and literature workshops in which they recorded their wishes and ideas on how to reduce air pollution and energy consumption in the form of drawings, poems, environmental slogans and environmental messages.

In addition, they wrote an article entitled "When I am mayor, I will encourage my citizens to use renewable transport".

Bitola

2022 the OU Todor Angelevski School in Bitola participated in the Green Footprint Campaign for the first time.

As part of their 'Week of Movement', the pupils were encouraged to join the school's cycling club and cycle to and from school on their bikes. In addition, a 40-minute bicycle tour was attempted every other day.

In total, the 20 students collected 260 Green Footprints in one week.
