Eupen

 

 

The Städtische Grundschule Oberstadt (SGO) of the city of Eupen collected Green Footprints with all children from kindergarten and elementary school from 8 to 26 October 2012.

Our 386 children collected 3541 Green Footprints and had a lot of fun. We will probably participated again in this campaign next spring and autumn.


Municipality St Vith

 

The particpants in St Vith have been accompanied by TV and Radio, isn't that great?!?

Municipality of Amel

 

The activity week was a great success.

All 503 children from 9 schools took part and collected 5339 Green Footprints.

They worte us a letter (pdf, kb).

Beside the Green Footprints, the issue sustainability was discussed in the school lessons.
They send question to us local politicians, e. g.:
• My parents own a forest area. Is it forbidden to clear the forest?
• When a municipality want to build new living houses and some of them need to be build in a forest area, is that allowed?

Gemeinde Büllingen

 

In the municipality Büllingen  441 children in  seven schools (Büllingen, Honsfeld, Hünningen, Mürringen, Manderfeld, Rocherath-Krinkeltund Wirtzfeld) collected 4080 Green Footprints.









Gemeinde Burg-Reuland

 

From the schools in the municipality of Burg-Reuland (Espeler, Aldringen, Maldingen, Braunlauf, Kreuzberg, Lascheid und Oudler) we got 2724 Green Footprints as well as the following message:

Die Kinder hoffen und wünschen dass die Politiker endlich ihre Verantwortung übernehmen und den kommenden Weltklimagipfel in Doha (Katar) zum Erfolg werden lassen ganz nach dem Motto : „Der Eine wartet, dass die Zeit sich wandelt, der Andere packt sie kräftig an und handelt“.

The children hope and wish the Climate Politicians in Doha not only to take their responsability but also to bring the UN Climate Summit to an successfull end.



Gemeinde St. Vith

 

During their Mobility Week 658 primary school and Kindergarten children in 9 schools collected 6011 Green Footprints.
