Participants 2011


In 2011 there were 200,000 children in 250 countries ZOOMing in and collecting Green Footprints - isn't that something?!?

 

They come from Austria, Belgium, Cocos Keeling Islands, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, La Reunion, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand and the Ukraine.

Participants by Countries

Austria:
In Austria around 250 schools were collecting "Klimameilen". Their names and results you can find at the website of Klimabündnis Österreich

Czech Republic:
In Czechia there are pupils from 22 schools collecting.


France:

Pupils from the Ecole Saint-Nicolas 2 in Haguenau are participating because of the invitation of their German partner class in the Textorschule, Frankfurt!


Germany:
More than 50,000 children in 14 federal states were collecting "Grüne Meilen". They come from over 100 cities and towns.

Hungary:
In Hungary there were over 14,000 registered. Together they collected over 65,000 Green footprints - an amazing success for the first participation!

Italy:
Children in Sacile already collected their miglia verde (see results/Italy) in Springtime.
In South Tyrol children from 33 municipalities collected KlimaSchritte.

Also participating are pupils from Formigine, Padova and Piacence!


Luxembourg:
In Luxembourg 4,800 pupils collected "Greng Meilen" from mid of September until end of October. Further information at the website of Klima-Bündnis Letzeburg

Netherlands:
Also children in the Netherlands have been collecting "Groene Voetstappen"again. Further information at the website www.groenevoetstappen.nl


Poland:

Pupils from a school in Elk, Mazuria were ZOOMing in again!

 

Slovakia:
Also in Slvakia there were children collecting "zelených míl" once more.

Sweden:
The participants of the Swedish "Ga och cycla till Skolan" Action joined us this year with 2000 classes in 70 municipalities! They collected in September and October.

Switzerland:
In Zürich and Bonstetten children were be participating in 2011.
