Children from the Szkola Podstawowa nr 4 im. prof. W. Szafera 4 in Elk already participated several times.

This year they collected Green Footprints  with burning ambitions as the UN Climate Summit is to be held in Warsaw!

On behalf of the 160,000 ZOOM Participants in 2013, ten children from Elk handed over the total result at the UN Climate Summit on Saturday 16th November together with their teacher Ewa Paszkowska.

This is the poem composed by Grażyna Truszkowska,  teacher at Wladyslaw Szafer Primary School no 4 in Elk, based on the 0-3 graders' requests and demands directed to the adults, as part of their “Zoom – Kids on the Move” Action.

The pupils recite it at the 19th UN Climate Conference in Warsaw.

Niech będzie….

Opowiedział starszy człowiekowi małemu

O zimie, potem wiośnie, która dawno temu,

Jak dziś zachwycała ciepłem i zielenią,

Obudzoną łąką, barwami co się mienią,

Lasem, w którym chowa natura tajemnice,

Ciszą co nastała, gdy ptasie zalotnice

Skryły się przed okiem krogulca łowczego.

Taka wiosna podoba się zmysłom małego.

Ten mały ostrożnie stawia kroki swoje.

Łąka, las, rzeka… to są miejsca moje!

Znam tu każdą gałąź, leśną ścieżkę, kamień.

Na szary, ciężki beton mi tego nie zamień!

Chcę stąpać po miękkim trawy dywanie,

Wsłuchać się w wiosny ptasie śpiewanie,

Mieć szansę, że wrócę tu wśród innych gości,

Zdrowy, wesoły.

Przyszłość dla Ziemi,

Ziemia dla przyszłości.
