In the Netherlands, the "Groene Voetstappen" week ran from September 18th to 22nd this year.

Children from 25 different schools all across the country collected their footprints for our environment and for this year's climate conference in Dubai.

The footprints were not only earned by getting to and from school by bike or on foot as often as possible. In the school 'KinderCampus' in Hilversum for example, the kids also cleaned the surrounding of their school and tried to take short showers.

Some schools also did contests on who gathered the most Groene Voetstappen in school. 

Together the 5,099 pupils collected 30,594 Groene Voetstappen in Noord-Brabant, Utrecht, Zuid- and Noord-Holland (Hilversum, Fijnaart, Hank, Bodegraven, Zevenhuizen, Schoonhoven, Nieuwekerk aan den IJsel, Krimpen aan de Lek, Hazerswoude-Rijndijk, Rijen, Zeist, Breda, Haarsteeg, Loenen, Bergen op Zoom, Ossendrecht, Vlijmen and Escharen).
