In Mainz this year, 8 elementary schools with a total of 1,800 students participated in our “Kindermeilen” campaign. They collectively earned 16,027 Green Miles, 211 Red Miles, and 582 Blue Miles.

The children expressed their wishes to policymakers in a wide variety of ways. We are always impressed by how creatively the students interpret the “wish feet”!

Thank you to all the young climate activists in Mainz who took part!

We look forward to next year!

St. Marien Elementary School in Wasserliesch participated in the Children’s Mile Campaign for the first time in 2025.

Motivated by the campaign, the 111 students collected their miles and presented their results daily. The children earned an impressive 1,547 miles.

To recognize the children’s efforts, the total miles collected by all the students were displayed at the school.

As a symbol of climate protection for our planet, the school chose a globe surrounded by protective green footprints, on which the miles collected by each class are visible.

That’s quite an achievement!
