FRIEDRICHSDORF

This year, a fantastic total of 13,181 Green Footprints were collected in Friedrichsdorf. Participating were the Köppern and Burgholzhausen primary schools, the Hardtwaldschule Seulberg, the Peter-Härtling-Schule, and the Wirbelwind daycare center.

It is truly amazing that the children from Friedrichsdorf have been so actively involved in the Green Footprints Campaign. With every step they take, they show that even the youngest can make a significant contribution to protecting our climate. The collected Green Footprints from Friedrichsdorf will also be presented at the UN Climate Conference in Baku – meaning that the efforts of Friedrichsdorf's children will help in the fight against climate change on an international level.

LAHN-DILL-KREIS

The students of Wiesentalschule Eibach in the Lahn-Dill district were particularly active in this year's Kids on the Move campaign. Together, they collected an impressive 568 green, 108 red, and 49 blue miles by walking, cycling, or using public transport on their way to school. Additionally, the children created "wishprints" with their ideas and demands for politicians. As shown in the pictures included in this post, the children have clear ideas about how they want to shape climate protection.

The children's wishes are mainly directed at politicians to bring about sustainable changes. They are calling for more trees to be planted, more green spaces to be created, and for the cycling network to be expanded. They also wish for more electric cars, larger forests, and a greater selection of regional food to actively contribute to climate protection.

It is particularly noteworthy that the Footprints collected through the Green Footprint Campaign will be presented at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference. With this, the children of Wiesentalschule want to show that they are advocating for their future and that climate protection is a global responsibility. By collecting these miles, they are making a valuable contribution and sending a strong message about the urgency of taking action.

The Lahn-Dill district has been actively committed to climate protection for many years. Through various initiatives and projects, sustainable solutions are being promoted to make the region greener and more livable. Wiesentalschule's participation in the Kids on the Move campaign shows that even the youngest residents of the district are taking responsibility and want to shape the future positively with their ideas.

RAUNHEIM

This year, Neue Grundschule Raunheim participated in the Green Footprints Campaign for the first time. The children at Neue Grundschule Raunheim achieved the fantastic result of 9,195 Green Footprints!

Through this, they made a real effort to help the climate. Their participation in the Green Footprints Campaign allowed them to engage with the topic of climate protection and reflect on how they, along with other children around the world, get to school. It's important to learn about life on other continents because climate change is a global challenge that can only be understood and tackled together. The children at Neue Grundschule Raunheim have taken a big step in that direction.

A big thank you to the children of Neue Grundschule Raunheim for participating! Your collected Footprints, along with those from other children across Germany and Europe, will be presented to the UN Climate Secretariat at the UN Climate Conference in Baku.
